Contemplating: Is infidelity so commonplace these days that people feel it's really "OK" to flirt with a clearly happily married person? I mean sure, you may be attracted to the person, or you may have "been there first", but they are married... MARRIED, you know, emphasis on that nasty M word right there... Whether they are happy or not, I just don't feel that that is ok...
When a person marries someone, they are committing themselves to THAT person, not leaving themselves open for someone like YOU to begin or even continue the flirting, suggestive comments, or even eyeing them in any way, shape or form.
Once that marriage license is signed and someone's name gets changed (or not as the case may be), you need to respect the life decision that has been made, and back off...

Maybe it's a matter of a married person being "safe" to flirt with because the thought is that s/he won't stray?
Not that I'm saying I condone it: I so don't. It's disrespectful, plain and simple -- to the flirtee, to the flirtee's spouse, and even to the flirter. Apparently something like 70% of single women where I live purposely go after attached men because they know that the guys are okay with committed relationships. "Mate poachers" are awful.
And don't even get me started on the married people who feel perfectly okay to flirt with single people (or even other attached people) behind their spouses' backs. Grrr.
I posted this because Theres this guy... we were childhood boyfriend/girlfriend, haven't seen each other since 8th grade. I apparently was his first love... he was the first guy I ever had feelings for... but I say my first REAL love was someone else entirely, a few years later...
But anyway we havent seen each other in more than 10 years, live in different states, and he got mad when I got married to my husband, both husbands in fact LOL... He ran out and got married when he found out I did the second time, insists hes still in love with me... and continues to flirt with me even though he knows Im VERY happy...
Man I need to write a WHOLE new blog about this.... I'll do that later, I have to head out though! Hubby is coming home EARLYYYYYY today!!! YAY! hehe
